The inn has three spacious rooms with
private bathrooms, a well-stocked library, quiet
reading nooks inside and outside. The
grounds include a one-mile running or walking
path and paths through the woods. A
variety of wildlife and wild birds can be viewed
at the farm and also at the nearby Marais des
Cygnes Wildlife area, which is a major stop on
spring and fall migrations for birds ranging
from geese to pelicans. Stargazing is at
an optimum here away from the lights of the
city. |

Bicycles are available for exploring the
country lanes or taking a tour on the nearby
Prairie Sprit Rail Trail. Other
attractions within 50 miles include antique
shopping, local auctions and farmers' markets,
historical sites including the Battle of Mine
Creek and the St. Philippine Duchesne Park, Linn
County Park and lake, the Sugar Mound Arts and
Crafts Festival which is one of the largest in
the region, and a variety of small town events. |
